Harry - Manos Collision
Your name: Harry Stride
Circuit/Lap: Malaysia, Formation Lap
Short description of the accident: Coming out of turn 3 I was doing some weaving and Manos crashes behind me and gives me a yellow rear wing which
compromised my whole race. Maybe I shouldn't of been weaving like that but Manos was going to fast on that lap.
Evidence (Video/Screenshot/etc.): Will be up tomorrow.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head with your last comment. Manos came in a bit too hot but you were a bit silly weaving on a corner.
I'd say 50-50 really. A formation lap isn't about weaving whenever you can.

Was coming out of turn 3 actually before the fast left-right.

Had another look at it and from Manos's point of view, he closed right up til he's nearly alongside (which you shouldn't really do but he might've been caught out by some heavy braking) and you weaved into him.

But that means it is his fault, I can't look around the whole track and see what all other drivers are doing he should of been aware that you weave on a formation lap.
Also I beleive on a formation lap your supposed to have a gap between everyone when possible not drive alongside them.

You don't always have to weave lol, especially when you're going round a corner, usually it's done on a straight.
I think he just got caught out cos you braked quite sharply. That's why he went alongside you, then you weaved into him. You should've also been checking your mirrors and being aware, it's not just down to other people to be aware of where they are on the track.

I'll have a proper look later. But the point I'm trying to get across is that he ruined my whole first stint. No offence to Mattias I think it was? I would never open up a 2 1/2 second gap to him on 1 lap. So something must of been wrong.

Yeah but I don't think it was totally his fault, if you'd checked your mirrors you'd have known he was there and you wouldn't have weaved into him.

But he shouldn't of been alongside me in the first place.

As I said, you braked quite heavily, which may have surprised him.

He shouldn't of been going that fast anyway.

He was going at the same speed as you until you braked heavily, which obviously caught him out.

Re: Harry - Manos Collision
Thats the same type of braking I did in Australia and most of last season on the formation lap.

Re: Harry - Manos Collision
harry having watched the replay
it looked as if you werent watching your mirrors
and i dont know why your even trying to warm your tires up in the middle of the corner
and looks like you just sweep right into him

Re: Harry - Manos Collision
Of course you're allowed to go up alongside people, if he hadn't he would've rammed you in the rear and destroyed both your races completely. Thats a fast sweeping corner so you shouldn't have braked so hard and should have stuck to the line you chose before that last weave. Manos had nowhere else to go.
